These core biblical convictions guide our teaching and ministry. They summarize the faith we gladly
affirm together.
Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is verbally inspired by God, inerrant (in its original languages) and the only
authority for faith and practice.
We believe in one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.
We believe that Jesus Christ the eternal Son, became incarnate by being born of the virgin Mary
after having been conceived by the Holy Spirit. He is thus true God and true Man (sin apart) in one
unique Being.
We believe that man was created in the image of God; that man sinned and thereby incurred God's
judgement of physical, spiritual and eternal death. All human beings are born with a sinful nature
and need the miracle of new birth before they can see or enter the kingdom of God.
We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for the sins of all the world, was buried and rose again
on the third day according to the Scriptures. He died as a representative and substitutionary
sacrifice. All who believe on Him are forgiven of their sins and justified on the grounds of His
sacrifice and resurrection.
We believe that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was a bodily resurrection, that He ascended bodily
into heaven and is now seated at the right hand of God as the Intercessor and Advocate for all who
believe on Him.
We believe in the personal and imminent return of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ, for the
purpose of receiving up into heaven of all who believe on Him. This catching up is known as the
Rapture.
We believe that all who receive by faith the Lord Jesus Christ as Saviour are born anew by the Holy
Spirit and thereby become children of God.
We believe that at the moment of conversion to Christ, believers are baptised by the Holy Spirit
into the Church which is the Body of Christ and consists of all true Christians from Pentecost to
the Rapture.
We believe in the sovereign work of the Holy Spirit in the Church today, energising, teaching,
renewing, filling and maturing the believer. We recognise the need for Christians to experience the
power of the Holy Spirit, liberating them from sin and self.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the righteous (the saved) and the unrighteous (the
unsaved), the everlasting blessedness of the saved and the everlasting conscious punishment of the
unsaved.
We believe that, as prophesied in the Bible, Jesus Christ will at the due time return to this earth
to reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.
